We are looking for talented colleagues to join our ICS MUNI  and CESNET  team in operating and developing a software-defined Cloud infrastructure. Our cloud enables cutting-edge research and development in many fields such as life sciencebioinformaticsmass spectrometry analytics Earth observation programme Copernicus , and cybersecurity .

Role and responsibilities

As the Cloud Engineer you will have many opportunities to improve the cloud infrastructure, add new features, automate the established processes. You will also communicate and collaborate with research communities regarding implementation of scientific projects, platforms, and systems into the cloud environment.

Skills

We are looking for people who are proactive, keen to learn new technologies and have at least a basic overview in a few of the following areas:

  • Linux
  • Virtualization & containers
  • Automation
  • Scripting (Python and/or Shell)
  • Networking
  • Cloud (OpenStack or another)
  • Git & Infrastructure as Code
