Our clinical visiting roles provide clinical practitioners the opportunity to work for a prestigious university and become involved with the education of future healthcare professionals whist remaining in their clinical post.
If you are a clinical physiotherapist with an interest in academia, you can apply to become a valued member of the Coventry University physiotherapy teaching team. You will contribute to supporting students whilst on clinical placements.
The inclusion of up-to-date clinical knowledge in teaching contributes significantly to the provision of excellent healthcare training, and students enjoy enhanced confidence and clinical credibility in the workplace because of their work with practising physiotherapists.
Joining the scheme provides an exciting opportunity to develop a range of skills within Coventry University that are transferable to your own area of practice. Some people within these roles go on to become lecturers within the Faculty, whilst others have used the opportunity to develop their skills and improve their practice.
These opportunities are available for clinicians from all specialties within physiotherapy to contribute to our expanded portfolio of courses. If you are interested in working with Coventry University we would be happy to hear from you.
Appointment as a clinical visiting tutor:
At least 18 months of clinical experience within physiotherapy required. Please submit a CV and a short statement (200 words maximum) indicating your area of speciality and why you would like to be considered for a post.
DBS Check is required.
