The main purpose of the role is to support Clinical Trial Managers and Clinical Trial Monitors in the set-up, conduct and closure of academic led, multi-centre randomised controlled trials, with particular emphasis on maintaining clinical trial documentation standards. You will assist in the day to day coordination of specified MCTU clinical trial projects, highlighting critical issues to the Clinical Trial Manager and Clinical Trial Monitor for the trial.
This is an exciting new role in the Manchester CTU and you will be working under the direction of experienced Clinical Trial Managers and Clinical Trial Monitors. The Unit will provide training in aspects of managing and/or monitoring clinical trials with the expectation that, with appropriate experience, the post-holder will be able to progress to more senior roles.
The Manchester CTU is an essential core resource for clinical and academic investigators and provides a wide range of services supporting the conduct of investigator initiated clinical trials across Greater Manchester, the North West and the UK.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of clinical trials within the academic and NHS environment and be educated to degree level. You must have excellent organisational, project coordination and interpersonal skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications is required, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments will be made on merit.
