About the role


Applications are invited for a part-time Clinical Research Fellow post in the Transplantation Research Immunology Group within the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, the University of Oxford (

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the work of an internationally recognised team of scientists and clinicians investigating several key areas of the immunobiology of cell and organ transplantation, and in particular, to work on the TWO Study, a phase IIb study funded by the MRC.

In addition to acting as the key local investigator/trial manager on the TWO Study, the post holder will be expected to play an active role in all aspects of the project with minimal day-to-day supervision and will be capable of developing effective approaches to issues as they arise.

About you

The successful candidate is a qualified doctor with GMC registration and a licence to practice in the UK. In addition, you will have experience in clinical nephrology and transplantation. You will become an integrated member of the team, will interact widely with colleagues and be capable of presenting data at laboratory and departmental research meetings.  Above all, the post-holder will welcome the challenge of making a major contribution to both the project itself and the continued success of an active research group with an international reputation for excellence.

This part-time post will commence in March 2024 and is fixed term for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.
