We are looking to recruit a Clinical Research Technician to support recruitment to clinical research and provide assessments and evidence-based psychological interventions to children and young people (C/YP) with anxiety and/or depression within the AnDY Research Clinic. The post would be ideal for a newly qualified or experienced Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
Appointment will be at the bottom of Grade 5 of the University of Reading salary scale. On appointment, the post-holder will need to complete the standard 6-month probation period. The post is full-time, fixed term for 9 months in the first instance (until 31st December 2022).
You will have:
- A recognised CWP qualification (or equivalent) at Postgraduate Certificate level or higher (Level 7 qualification for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland) and experience of delivering evidence-based, brief, CBT-informed interventions to children and young people with anxiety and depressive disorders.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health, including how anxiety and depression present at different stages of child development.
- Experience of using routine outcome measures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child protection issues, safeguarding, and other relevant legislation and the ability to assess and manage clinical risk.
