Within the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine on our Manor Park campus, the Clinical Research Building houses the Surrey Clinical Research Facility, the Surrey Clinical Trials Unit and the Surrey Sleep Research Centre.

We have a vacancy within the Surrey Clinical Research Facility for an enthusiastic individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the participant recruitment activity for clinical trials, including maintaining our recruitment database and overseeing the planning, preparation, and execution of successful recruitment campaigns for a variety of clinical research studies. 

In addition, the post-holder will also provide and co-ordinate training and support for junior staff assisting with recruitment activities where required.  

About you

The post would suit an individual with excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills. It is the ideal role for someone who will enjoy the challenge and responsibility of developing our participant recruitment operation. 

The ability to work with clinical and management colleagues at all levels across a variety of teams is crucial and the successful candidate will display strong numeracy, written, and IT skills, with previous experience across various software platforms including the Microsoft Office suite. Experience using large databases would be an advantage. 

A knowledge of the EU Clinical Trials Directive, UK Clinical Trials Regulations, and Principles of Good Clinical Practice is desirable.
