This is an exciting opportunity to join the Magnetic Resonance & Precision Imaging team at the Nottingham NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (NBRC MR&PI) as Clinical Research Practitioner. We are driving the discovery and translation of new imaging tools which will transform non-invasive diagnosis, improve the outcomes for patients, and better evaluate the success of medical interventions. Our researchers have expertise across MRI & precision imaging – from mathematics and computer science, to physics and medicine. 

Patient and Public involvement is key to all our research including to provide a valuable research experience for our participants. You will be directly contributing to this by supporting academics and participants in clinical trials supported by and affiliated to the NBRC-MR&PI theme focusing but not limited to imaging projects in neurodegenerative disorders, such as InsightPD a large ongoing longitudinal Parkinson’s imaging cohort trial. You will be undertaking standardised clinical assessments, collection of bio samples and contribute to clinical trial documentation and management tasks using standard operational procedures. You will work as a member of the team providing a high standard of care to patients participating in research including data entry, assisting with patient care and trial specific tasks.

The mission of the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) is to improve the health of people locally, nationally and internationally.  The research we do translates world-leading science into world-class healthcare. The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of many of our world leading research projects.

The post is offered on a fixed term contract for 3 years. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 18.25 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
