We are seeking to recruit a Clinical Research Fellow in Gastroenterology to work within Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) and NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre under the supervision of Professor Christopher Buckley as the Director of the A-TAP and Professor Simon Travis, as the Head of the Gastroenterology A-TAP Group. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s24vh_Me3L4

This post is part of the A-TAP initiative and its remit is to provide a link between the A-TAP studies and the Translational Gastroenterology Unit (TGU) in Oxford. You will assist in the day-to-day execution of various clinical studies in Gastroenterology currently recruiting through the A-TAP. As a Clinical Research Fellow you will participate in ongoing A-TAP research with a focus on supporting Gastroenterology, as well as working within the multidisciplinary team to deliver the strategic aims of the group and the delivery of the trial portfolio of studies according to time and target. You will also be involved in the writing and submission of grant applications related to your particular area of research and you will write research papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals and abstracts for submission to national and international conferences. 

You will have full General Medical Council Registration. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently and evidence of continuing professional development are essential for this post. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of gastroenterology or rheumatology and experience of clinical trials, including those that are GCP-compliant, and of the process of obtaining and maintaining regulatory and ethics approvals would be desirable.

This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 1 year.
