Professor James B. Rowe is looking for a new Clinical Research Associate to join the translational research programs at the Cambridge Centre for Parkinson-Plus disorders. The Centre brings together leading clinicians and scientists focusing on mechanisms, diagnostics and novel treatments for patients with combined movement and cognitive disorders, e.g. progressive supranuclear palsy and corticobasal degeneration.

The successful candidate will focus on investigations into how neurodegeneration actually leads to changes in thinking and behaviour using magnetoencephalography (MEG) and exploration of novel GABA-ergic drug treatments.

Successful candidates will be eligible for higher specialist training in the UK. Additional experience in neuroscience, for example as an undergraduate intercalated degree of later research experience, would be an advantage. The posts are ideally suited for clinical fellows wishing to undertake a PhD.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 36 months in the first instance.

This is an integrated appointment between the University and relevant NHS Trust / Body. You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Clinical Contract by the NHS Trust / Body. You should be aware that if your contract with the NHS Trust / Body is terminated your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.
