Professor James B. Rowe is looking for a new Clinical Research Associate to join the translational research programs at the Cambridge Centre for Parkinson-Plus disorders. The Centre brings together leading clinicians and scientists focusing on mechanisms, diagnostics and novel treatments for patients with combined movement and cognitive disorders, e.g. progressive supranuclear palsy and corticobasal degeneration.
The successful candidate will focus on investigations into how neurodegeneration actually leads to changes in thinking and behaviour using magnetoencephalography (MEG) and exploration of novel GABA-ergic drug treatments.
Successful candidates will be eligible for higher specialist training in the UK. Additional experience in neuroscience, for example as an undergraduate intercalated degree of later research experience, would be an advantage. The posts are ideally suited for clinical fellows wishing to undertake a PhD.
The University of Cambridge is internationally renowned for its excellence in research and training, including a large and multidisciplinary community for imaging neuroscience and connectomics.
