  • Base Salary $118,390 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation, plus dental loading for eligible candidates

The Sydney Dental School has over 100 years of excellence in providing education and training in dentistry and oral health. Our students benefit from opportunities gained in a clinical environment at leading dental hospitals and learn from diverse real world oral health issues. Combining teaching, clinical activities and research in six disciplines, including oral biosciences, oral health, oral surgery, medicine and diagnostics, orthodontic and paediatric dentistry, population oral health and restorative and reconstructive dentistry; the school is constantly ranked as one of Australia's top dental schools.

We have an opportunity for a suitably experienced Clinical Educator in Endodontics to join our team, teaching into the DMD program.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • teach into the DMD program in endodontics, primarily in simulation, and possibly in the clinic
  • responsibility for unit of study coordination
  • contribute to curriculum development in endodontics
  • contribute to the Faculty's academic program of innovation in education and excellence in governance
  • contribute to administrative aspects of teaching, research, and community-industry engagement
  • have opportunities to engage with the profession and the public, and collaborate with our clinical partners and staff in research, teaching, and industry engagement
  • work as an effective team member and, as required, coordinate units of study.

About you

  • significant recent clinical expertise in the area of endodontics
  • have completed a dental degree
  • experience in research-informed teaching
  • experience in curriculum development and student supervision in the clinical environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a range of roles in diverse teams.
