Are you looking for a new opportunity to share your skills and experience as a Cleaning Operative?

We are looking for two motivated individuals with a background and experience in cleaning, to join our dedicated team.

The primary function of this post is to maintain the cleanliness of the rooms/spaces within buildings and maintaining sufficient supplies/replenishment of cleaning materials and consumables.

Duties will be split across the buildings at our waterside site and you will work as part of a small team to ensure hygiene standards are maintained and achieved across our sites.

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service to all clients and staff and to act in a polite and professional manner. 

We offer 25 days annual leave and bank holidays plus 3 closed days at Christmas. For the period of this contract the holiday entitlement is 12 days plus bank holidays.

You will be providing cover in all areas of the university and provide cover for staff holidays and absences or assisting in high use areas.

We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage. In recognition of this, the starting salary for this post has been increased to pay the higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 2 salary.

About you

We are seeking an experienced cleaner that has preferably worked within an education or hospital environment. This is not essential as we will consider applicants from other sectors. You should be a conscientious worker that sets high standards in your work.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of cleaning products in use and experience of mixing cleaning chemicals and selecting the correct one for the task.

Qualifications

Desirable;

  • BICS Operators Proficiency Certificate Stage 1 or willing to work towards qualification
