Are you a Chef looking for a new challenge where split shifts, late finishes and working every weekend are the exception rather than the norm?

Look no further, the University of Lincoln is looking for an enthusiastic, talented Chef to join our team. We seek a creative individual, with a passion and willingness to continue learning, and a positive “can do” and flexible attitude and desire to innovate.

You will need to have a good knowledge of food safety/health & safety/COSHH regulations and have a Catering NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification/experience.  A driving license is essential to facilitate the set up and service of catering events at different sites (eg. BBQ’s).

Test your skills and let your passion and enthusiasm show through working within our varied catering outlets across multiple sites. These encompass student/staff catering, internal/external hospitality, conferencing, street food, and 5-star fine dining.

No two days are the same!

This role genuinely offers a work-life balance, your core hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30am-3.30pm, however on occasion there will be a requirement to work weekends and evenings. You will be rewarded well for your continued development, skills, hard work, and loyalty as we offer a wide range of staff benefits which include a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), which means not having to work bank holidays over Christmas and Easter, progressive pay rates, cycle to work scheme, favourable pension scheme, access to discounts at popular stores, ability to join the TUCO network of Chefs, plus much more.

If you share our passion for cooking, enjoy a challenge and thrive under pressure, we encourage you to take this opportunity to join our fantastic team.

We will be inviting candidates for interviews throughout the advertising period, so don't delay your application - apply today!
