Context
INTO is an organisation working in partnership with leading British Universities and investing in the development of world-class international student centres. It specialises in preparing students for undergraduate and postgraduate study in the UK. Our Centres deliver progression onto leading British undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Each INTO Centre is managed by a joint venture management board in which INTO and the partner University are equal shareholders.


Requirements
To work 25 hours a week on as part of the catering team to provide front of house retail services in the INTO Café and the Avon Shop convenience store. This includes tasks such as serving hot and cold snacks and beverages, preparation of fast foods such as paninis, fries or pizzas and general café/shop assistant duties. Post holders can be situated at either the Café or the Shop and will be expected to work flexible hours to suit business needs, including working occasional weekends as part of a rostered schedule, as well as extra hours to cover annual leave or sickness. Part of the annual leave entitlement will be required to take during closure periods in line with academicschedules of the INTO University of Exeter.
You must have the right to work in the UK.


Duties
• Working in the ‘front-of-house’, serving customers and working on the till, cash handling, cashing-up, etc


• Assisting with preparation of hot food as required, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained;


• Making coffee and other hot drinks using an espresso machine;


• Checking and unloading deliveries, assisting with stock control and stock taking;


• Cleaning and washing up as required;


• Assist with in-house catering functions;


• Presenting a smart, professional appearance and high personal hygiene;


• Assisting with other duties as required.

Salary
Salary Band A £19,380 - £20,085 Annual, pro-rated
