Estate and Facilities Management: Facilities Management

Salary:  £21,543 to £22,681 per annum

Working as part of a small friendly team, our caretakers provide a wide range of customer facing soft facilities services including controlling safe and secure access to the campus and buildings, ensuring key key fire and other health and safety regulations are observed. 

You will be responsible for general post and portering duties, liaising with other Estate and Facilities Management colleagues to maintain a welcoming service to all campus users throughout your shift.

To succeed in this position you will need:

  • A good operational knowledge of safe working practices
  • Good IT literacy skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Previous experience working to a high customer service standard in a large organisation or educational setting

In return the university offers a generous annual leave package, including time off over Christmas and an attractive pension scheme. You will be required to wear a uniform in line with our uniform policy, including PPE, as required.

The position is full-time on an alternating shift pattern Monday to Friday 05:30 to 13:30 and 13:30 to 21:30 for which a shift allowance is paid. There is also the opportunity for weekend working on overtime. This job is suitable for job sharing.
