About The Role
Falmouth Exeter Plus are seeking to recruit a full-time Caretaker to join our team at the Penryn campus to provide a high-quality caretaking service. The caretaking department is responsible for a variety of duties to ensure that the campus buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard. These duties include waste and recycling management, porterage duties and daily cleaning tasks.
 
The successful applicant will ensure that the allocated duties are completed within deadlines and to an expected standard in line with service and Health and Safety requirements. It is a varied role across both campuses and represents a great opportunity to join a close knit team.

About You
We are looking for a candidate who has experience in dealing with waste management and general porter/caretaking duties, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Alongside, these key skills we are looking for candidates who have a flexible approach to working hours and a good level of general fitness.
 
We would like to hear from candidates who can also offer the following:
 
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and regulations e.g. COSHH
• Demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
• Ability to prioritise work towards deadline
• Work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Full clean driving licence as the postholder will be required to drive the company vehicle to fulfil the duties of this role

This post is a 37.54 hours a week, full-time, permanent contract working 4 days on 2 days off which will include working weekends. Shifts will be a rotation of 6am – 2.30pm and 1.30 – 10pm shifts.
