Job Description

The Centre for Experiential Learning (CEL) would like to invite dynamic and creative individuals to apply for this exciting role in cultivating and facilitating young Singaporeans as gainfully employed individuals and aspiring contributors to society.

You will be supporting the Career Development Office in the engagement of SUSS stakeholders, locally and overseas, to strengthen academic-industry relations and to identify work and internship opportunities for SUSS students. You will also play a part in the assessment and development of SUSS students, providing mentorship and guidance in their acquisition of professional skill sets and career choices.

We need someone who possess good industry knowledge; has awareness of current and emerging practices in human capital development; and is committed to the preparation and capitalization of young undergraduates.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies and programmes to help graduating students to emplace them successfully into the workforce
  • Develop and implement strategies and programmes to enable alumni to continue to thrive in their career and contribute back to the university by forming an ecosystem of students, alumni and industry partners
  • Develop and implement strategies and programmes to develop long term partnerships with the industry to increase employment opportunities for students and graduates
  • Provide effective career guidance to students and graduates on career options, employment search strategies & communications and interview preparation.
  • Be part of the working committee for the Graduate Employment Survey and Employer Perception Survey

Job Requirements

  • A good university degree, preferably with professional certifications and trainings in career advisory; certification in personality profiling tools will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in in career advisory coaching.
  • Good understanding of global and local hiring/employment trends and methods.
  • Meticulous and able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform as a team that is highly diverse and traversing across functions, and manage multiple tasks, including administrative processes.
  • Passion for working with students and able to build rapport, motivate and inspire young people.
