Salary: Grade 6 (£30,487 – £36,024 p.a. depending on experience)

This is an exciting new role working as part of the newly created Business Support and Operations function, which provides a range of cross-service support activities, including Libraries’ communications, data and insight activity, continuous improvement and project management support, business support (I.e. HR process administration) and PA/general administration. 

Reporting into the Head of Business Support Operations, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing a small team of administration staff and PAs, ensuring a seamless coordinated support service for the Libraries. You’ll support with Library-wide staff communications and engagement events and oversee the Library SharePoint site.  You’ll also provide support with and co-ordinate delivery of cross-Library projects as well as surveys and benchmarking activities.  You’ll ensure best practice in document management and retention and play a key role in maximising operational efficiency in cross-library functions.

You will have significant experience of working in an office administration/business support environment along with experience of supervising or managing a team of staff. You’ll have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team as well on your own initiative.  You’ll also be customer focussed with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
