About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategic Partnerships, the Business Relationship Manager will establish, nurture and maintain relationships with external industry partners, commercial clients, government agencies, and community leaders and is the central liaison point for teaching and research staff around College of Business and Law's (COBL) engagement activities.

The Business Relationship Manager will work closely with the Engagement team, and COBL portfolio business partners to ensure that these relationships are managed effectively. Simultaneously they will create and nurture industry engagement in co-creation and co-delivery of nominated courses and programs.

This is a fixed term, parental leave cover position.

About You

To be successful in this position, you'll have (in line with the position description):

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, relationship management and experience in successfully developing, implementing and sustaining mutually beneficial business relationships, ideally in an account management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes against set timelines, and a proven record in securing and developing strategic partnerships, ideally within the tertiary sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively and sensitively with senior executives to build productive relationships and facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated track record in consistently meeting business development targets and demonstrated ability to maintain these business relationships throughout the lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating business proposals, tenders and contracts in line with policies and processes around strategic sourcing and contract management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff at various organisational levels.
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and analytical skills and the ability, develop and deliver innovative solutions.
