Working to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) the Business Operations Manager (BOM) is primarily responsible for the effective and efficient running, and continual improvement of the internal processes of the Digital & Technology Group, acting effectively as ‘Group Secretary’

Responsible for managing the budgeting and financial reporting processes, tracking spend, supporting procurement processes and staff recruitment, they will deliver high quality services in support of the group’s activities to deliver our strategic and operational plans.

Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and be responsible for the provision of high quality administrative support for the SLT and other key meetings.  They will also lead and line manage the Admin support team to ensure the smooth operation of the overall executive support function.

Expected to cultivate and develop effective relationships and networks with peers across the University, including University Risk and Information Governance teams, Estates and Facilities management, Finance and other stakeholders.

You are highly organised, a great communicator and have significant administrative experience working with senior level and/or high-profile individuals, as a personal or executive assistant. You have excellent digital skills, work well in a team and enjoy the challenge of your own projects as well as working in a supporting role.
