The Business Development Team sits within the Talent Team to develop opportunities for students to have exposure to the workplace during their courses through a range of activities including employer input to curriculum design, guest speakers, company visits, “live” projects to solve real business problems and through internships or shorter periods of work experience.

Role Purpose:

The Business Development Executive will develop and manage a portfolio of employers and work closely with members of the internships team and Graduate Talent to ensure optimal matching of students and graduates to opportunities. In addition, the Business Development Executive will manage Business Development Senior Associate activity, allocating a caseload as appropriate to achieve targets.

Person Specification

• Experience of working with employers in a target driven environment
• Degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to prioritise own workload under minimum supervision to meet deadlines
• Negotiation, influencing and enabling skills necessary to ensure priorities are met
• Project planning and implementation skills
• Communicate and influence effectively in a way that builds successful relationships within teams and across teams
