Here at the world-famous and internationally respected Wellcome Sanger Institute, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented Business Analyst to join our Change Delivery team in Scientific Operations to drive significant change across the teams, leading on projects and programmes designed to increase team efficiency and process improvements. 

About the role:

As Business Analyst, you will take full responsibility for:

  • Determining and working closely with relevant stakeholders, internal or external, to understand complex internal business processes, requirements and problems.
  • Understanding and articulating business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing, and documenting requirements, and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with relevant parties.

Projects will be focused on various aspects of significant operational change, with a high degree of risk for the organisation. Projects are likely to have a strong emphasis on automation, and high throughput operations, including information and robotics technology with a strong emphasis on client and stakeholder management in a scientific environment.

About You:

  • Accredited with a Business Analysis body or equivalent experience 
  • A complex problem solver who plays a critical role in defining and enabling business change
  • Knowledge of complex Business Process Re-engineering, and Requirements gathering approaches
  • Confident and capable to facilitate workshops alone and to present findings to clients/customers and stakeholders

About the team:

The Change Delivery team is responsible for delivering large and complex programmes that support outsourced and bundled operational services to scientific programmes across, via multi-disciplinary, highly skilled teams.

They are responsible for planning, leading, organising and motivating delivery teams to successfully deliver a portfolio of work at an agreed and sustainable working pace, applying the right blend of best practice techniques that best suit organisation needs.

We have adopted a flexible-hybrid working pattern to allow for remote and on-campus flexibility. There will be an expectation to be in the office between 60-80% of the time to underpin the collaborative nature of this role.
