Business Alliance Officer

The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre is looking for a Business Alliance Officer to establish and develop strategic relationships and partnerships between AMIC and the business community, leading the writing and submission of collaborative grant applications.

You will work collaboratively with industry, technology providers, national technology centres, and academia to secure key partnerships and projects focused on advanced manufacturing activities.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering/Technology Management, ICT with significant recent and relevant experience OR minimum HND in a related discipline with extensive recent and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable recent and relevant experience of working successfully and collaboratively within an industrial or university-based research environment.
  • Proven recent and relevant experience of managing relationships and project management in a collaborative context.
  • Evidenced experience of working with the business community successfully delivering socio-economic outcomes.
  • An understanding of the processes involved in compiling grant/contract bids.

    This post will be appointed for 3 years in the first instance. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
