We are looking for a Building Management Engineer for operation of LSHTM's Buildings Management System (BMS). LSHTM are rolling out Distech software across the estate and the BMS engineer will manage the transition from legacy systems onto Distech. BMS is crucial for understanding trends in energy usage therefore this is a vital role in searching for opportunities to reduce energy use.

You will provide expert knowledge, guidance, and support in the development of the BMS, ensuring its effective maintenance and proposing energy-saving interventions. Act as a liaison between various departments, including the Project Management Office, maintenance teams, and sustainability initiatives.

You must possess a BTEC HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Services, or equivalent experience in project management of building services projects and possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A thorough understanding of statutory regulations, including those related to specialist laboratory installations and health and safety standards, is essential. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and fixed-term for 3 years. 

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range of £43,947 - £49,908 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
