BP Professorship of Economics

The University of Oxford is seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar and teacher as the BP Professor of Economics. The Professorship is held in the Department of Economics and the postholder will also be a Fellow of New College. The post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to take a leading role in enhancing economics research at Oxford and providing academic leadership in the discipline.

Oxford University is internationally recognised as being one of the very best institutions worldwide for the study of economics. The successful applicant will be a scholar of international distinction with an outstanding record of research and publication in any area of economics, but with a preference for environmental, or trade resource economics, or in related applied microeconomic or macroeconomic areas, and will be able to provide excellent teaching and mentoring for students and colleagues at all levels.
