MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK

A Bioinformatician is sought to work within the group of Dr Andrew McKenzie in the Protein and Nucleic Acid Chemistry division at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) within an overall programme investigating immune reactions to disease. You will design, set up and manage projects that use single cell RNA sequencing, ATAC-Seq, ChIP-seq, three-dimensional chromosome conformation (e.g. Hi-C), CRISPR-Cas screens, etc to investigate the development and function of immune cells. You will be a focus of expertise on bioinformatics for the McKenzie group, including setting up user-friendly pipelines to enable non-specialist scientists to analyse data.

You will have PhD in a relevant subject (or a first degree/Masters and equivalent experience) and experience using UNIX/Linux based systems and fluency in scripting with R, Perl or Python.  A working knowledge of wet-lab pipelines for generating NGS data would be advantageous.
