The Audio Visual Design Lead is responsible for the design, development and continuous improvement of the architecture and strategy of appropriate and innovative solutions for the University’s audio-visual (AV) services and associated systems, applications, and infrastructure. 

This role will provide technical leadership for all aspects of the University’s AV systems and solutions, ensuring these are designed and developed in accordance with best practice and approved standards to support the University’s strategic objectives and digital transformation agenda. 

We have several exciting opportunities and projects for the post holder to be involved in over the next 12-months, including: Re-design of a 6-floor building, AV refreshes, AV for new spaces, Digital Signage, Assisted Hearing, Active Learning rooms & Teams/Hybrid rooms.

The successful candidate will have: 

Strong background in AV with proven experience specifying, designing and implementing AV solutions within large multiuser environments

Broad knowledge of a range of audio-visual systems, solutions, platforms, and architecture

A demonstrable track record of delivering multiple concurrent, high-value audio-visual projects

Experience providing technical leadership, including experience producing and implementing technical standards, roadmaps, and strategic development plans

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
