The University of Manchester is one of the largest single campus universities in the UK and provides and exciting environment in which to work.

Media Services are the central media and audio-visual, (AV), support service to The University and the services offered include campus wide audio-visual support, technical provision for live events, professional video production, graphic design and specialist print.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for technology and to learn the professional AV industry to join the team in the role of Audio-Visual Support Technician. These posts provide an exciting opportunity to work in a busy team with a varied and rewarding remit, and to learn new skills in the fantastic environment of the University.

Your role will include provision of a full audio-visual, (AV), support service across campus including installation, configuration, maintenance, first line fault diagnosis and support of AV systems and facilities including a wide range of technologies and solutions. Also, to work in varied roles supporting a range of live events.

Facilities and technologies you will work with include microphone/PA systems, large format display, interactive technologies, control systems, signal switching and routing, camera systems and video streaming.

Supporting our clients and service users is key to the success of our services and you will have the opportunity to directly input into the success of academic delivery, events and a wide range of activities related to university business.

Full on site and professional training will be provided and the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications will be available.
