 About the Role

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work as a member of our outstanding and committed team training undergraduate and PGCE Early Years Education (3-7 phase) and Primary (5-11 phase) teachers. 

You will be expected to work closely with professional practice mentors and university-based colleagues to ensure trainees are provided with key subject and pedagogical knowledge whilst on placement. You will be expected to provide training and guidance to mentors as well as quality assuring mentoring feedback and acting as a point of contact for trainees. 

The practice-based elements of our programmes provide trainees with the foundations of knowledge and understanding about curriculum content, pedagogy and progression.

 About You

As Associate Tutor in Early Years and Primary Education, you will:

  • be energetic, flexible, creative and willing to take a full involvement in a range of activities within the Faculty of Education
  • have successful EYFS or primary age phase teaching experience in an identified subject
  • have experience of supporting trainee teachers or early career teachers
