Applications are invited for a permanent post of an Associate Professor of Information and Communication Studies within UCD School of Information and Communication Studies.
UCD School of Information and Communications is undergoing a major period of growth, with successful undergraduate and graduate educational programmes and growing scale in research across a range of subfields including communication and media, digital policy, human computer interaction, information systems and library studies. The School is making a number of new academic appointments at an exciting time in the School’s development. The School is seeking to recruit an Associate Professor of Information and Communication Studies who will provide academic leadership within the UCD School of Information and Communication Studies, in active collaboration with colleagues in this School, in the other schools of the UCD College of Social Sciences and Law and throughout the University. Reporting to the Head of School, the Associate Professor of Information and Communication Studies will have a key role in research and scholarship, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching! and academic administration, management and professional organisation in the academic areas of Information and Communication Studies. The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching directions. The post-holder is expected to assume management/administrative responsibilities within the School and may be asked to take on the role of Head of School for a fixed period.
95 Associate Professor (7941) Salary Scale: €77,175 - €108,988 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
