Associate Professor in Medical Statistics

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Primary Care Research Centre (PCRC), within the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton, as an Associate Professor in Medical Statistics. The post holder will, as a lead statistician, be part of our senior team developing and delivering research in line with the PCRC research strategy. They will also teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and undertake leadership and engagement activities.

The Primary Care Research Centre (https://www.southampton.ac.uk/primarycare/about/index.page) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for primary care research with 87% of our research rated ‘internationally excellent’ or ‘world-leading’ in the last REF. We are one of just nine members of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research which provides exciting opportunities to develop and deliver high quality applied clinical research for patient benefit in collaboration with the leading Primary Care research centres across England. We have close links with the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit and the Research Design Service and are a very friendly and supportive centre.

The post is a permanent full time post but part time candidates are also encouraged to apply.
