The School of Mathematical Sciences at University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) seeks to fill an academic position at the level of associate professor. The position is open to candidates with research interests in any field of Statistics.

The successful candidates will be expected to deliver lectures and seminars across all years of the undergraduate programmes and to supervise postgraduate research students. In addition, there are excellent opportunities for research, and the persons appointed will be expected to develop their own research activities and to play a leading role in the research activities of the School.

Displaying genuine passion and enthusiasm for scholarship, the successful candidate will foster academic leadership and is expected to build a strong recognized research programmes contributing to the existing research groups within the Faculty. The successful candidate is also expected to plan and lead the delivery of cutting-edge UG programmes within the School.

Salary will be within the range of RMB 606,426 to RMB 720,242 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling support, first arrival & repatriation support, and international private insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The person appointed to this role will be expected to commence employment in person at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in September 2023. The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of five years. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
