The post-holder will be expected to supervise research students and Masters’ dissertations and undertake relevant administrative duties. The post-holder should be prepared to support the continued development of our capacity for teaching and researching digital and community archaeology, including contributing to fundraising for equipment capital.

We are looking for applicants with a strong background in digital and public archaeology, particularly in the UK. As digital media have become crucial in enabling public engagement, we are seeking someone with a track record of delivering original approaches in this area. They should also be able to continue our mission of applying cutting-edge archaeological research through Archaeology South-East; the candidate should therefore have experience of archaeological resource management in the UK or comparable regulatory contexts. The successful candidate should be academically agile and able to teach on a range of topics related to digital heritage and community archaeology at a postgraduate level, including on our MA Cultural Heritage Studies and MA Managing Archaeological Sites.
