The role

The role will include supporting the student learning experience using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching allocated. You will have responsibility for supporting the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. You will work with the Director of Education and Student Experience to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accordance with the College’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. You will also contribute directly to foundation teaching in one or more of the disciplinary areas in the College and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the College.

About you

For a Lecturer post you will:

  • Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a PhD, or nearing completion, or equivalent qualification/experience, of the core knowledge relating to Computer Science in order to teach and support learning on Computer Science modules.
  • Staff at this level are expected to achieve Associate Fellow of the HEA within two years of appointment (if not already achieved) and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
