Arden University is a growing organisation delivering online only and blended study options to students studying towards undergraduate degrees and masters in Accounting and Finance. We have study centres in numerous locations across the UK, as well as a centre in Berlin, and a head office based in Coventry.  

The role  

This is a freelance role, paid at £45/hour 

Demonstrable industry experience will enhance your application as well as a knowledge of ACCA and CIMA. The main purpose of the job is to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment on Business Law module which is delivered on our BSc Accounting and Finance programme. The post holder will also undertake the role of module leader, responsible for creating and marking assessments, embedding changes to curriculum and liaising with professional bodies (where appropriate). There may also be a possibility of teaching on other future programmes subject to appropriate training and discussion with the Head of School of Digital Finance. As our teaching is done both online and in person, experience of delivering lectures and supporting students in an online or blended learning environment would be desirable. Exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard or similar). You will have both teaching and learning and marking and assessment responsibilities.

Working pattern  

You will be required to deliver in person teaching 2 days per week, per module, from either 9am-1pm, or 1:30pm – 5:30pm dependant on the requirements. Please note, on both days worked, you will deliver teaching with students being both on site and accessing your class virtually via Zoom. Your role will also involve supporting students virtually using our VLE and supporting students with any questions or queries they may have.
