Join us at Built Environment – Smarter Transportation (BE-ST) as an Associate Impact Manager and you’ll have the opportunity to advance your career in innovation project management whilst playing a crucial part in our mission to accelerate the built environment’s transition to zero carbon emissions.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from our experienced Impact Managers and senior leadership team, providing insight and coordination into our impactful innovation projects and programmes. These projects create state-of-the-art solutions to address the key challenges we face as a country in achieving net zero.

You’ll join a culture of transformation, co-ordinating academic, businesses and partners to ensure successful project delivery. This includes ensuring compliance and project milestones are met, preparing project and funding applications and project proposal guidance.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of large scale private and public organisations supporting them through collaboration, innovation and inspiring them to realise their ambitions.

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree or equivalent in a built environment discipline or business-related subject, or a professional qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience working closely with businesses to support business development or innovation activity
  • An understanding of how Scotland/the UK’s construction sector operations from both a strategic and operational perspective
  • Direct experience working in/with the construction industry including knowledge of existing/emerging construction technology
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong long-term relationships
