Peoples Futures Limited (a subsidiary of Coventry University) is currently recruiting to a new Assistant Teaching Fellow position in Mathematics.  Working in the School of Computing, Mathematics and Data Science, within the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing, this roles will focus on teaching delivery to support the student experience through inspirational teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The School of Computing, Mathematics and Data Science is looking for a Teaching fellow in Mathematics and Statistics to support the delivery of undergraduate mathematics suite of courses and MSc in data science.

We are  looking for a candidate with experience of teaching mathematics and statistics at higher education. In particular we are looking to expand teaching portfolio in;

  • Algebra
  • Discrete Mathematics
  • Logic and Sets
  • Statistics
  • Optimisation
  • Mathematical Modelling

Teaching duties will be in an area of mathematics, statistics and data science as commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. Experience of teaching any programming languages; such as SPSS, R, Python , MATLAB is essential. You will need to demonstrate teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics or a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • A teaching qualification or some  experience of delivering professional and/or university education
  • A contextualised knowledge of pedagogy and innovative teaching methods
