Salary: £37467 to £50296 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for an academic post of Assistant Professor in Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

We are seeking exceptional candidates who are committed to teaching and to delivering an exceptional student experience within this leading Department in addition to pursuing an independent research career.

Candidates should be able to clearly demonstrate extensive practical experience and knowledge of analogue (and ideally digital) electronics. The level and breadth should be sufficient to inform final year UG and MSc modules with real world examples based on personal experience.

Candidates should be able to undertake original research with a clear alignment with one or more of the existing Faculty of Engineering research groups and would be expected to either apply for, or strongly support colleagues applying for, external funding to enable development of new and original research.

Candidates should have a PhD in Electrical & Electronic or Electronic Engineering or a closely related subject and should have post-doctoral academic research experience in a relevant area.

Good communication and organisation skills are also required.

This is a full-time permanent post (36.25 hours); however, job share arrangements may be considered.
