Fixed-term contract until 31 July 2025, 0.5 FTE.

We are looking for an experienced and creative Assistant Professor (Teaching Focussed) who will contribute to the department’s teaching provision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and the support activities associated with these.

You will be an applied linguist with a strong academic and professional background in TESOL who is familiar with a variety of approaches to the analysis of written discourse and their relevance to language teaching. Teaching and/or research experience in the following areas would be advantageous: use of corpora in language teaching; multimodal analysis; Global Englishes.

You will have a PhD in a relevant field or be very close to completion, and you will have experience of teaching at university level.
