Job Description

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking outstanding candidates for multiple tenure-track or tenured positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Candidates with expertise in any aspect of Materials Science and Engineering will be considered. The Department will also support eligible outstanding junior candidates in their application for the Presidential Young Professorship (PYP) and the National Research Foundation (NRF) Fellowship with substantial research grant funding support. 

The Department is recognised worldwide as a premier MSE department centred in Asia and is in a phase of rapid expansion. It offers a stimulating environment conducive to professional growth, with moderate teaching loads and extensive international and industry collaborations. Materials Science and Engineering is recognised as a key research area at NUS, which currently hosts 4 Centres of Excellence, 5 Corporate Laboratories, and 29 Research Centres and Institutes providing cutting-edge facilities in materials synthesis, characterisation, device fabrication, and prototyping.
