Working within the award-winning Law School, which is in the top 20 of the Guardian Subject Rankings, you will join a team of world-leading and internationally excellent legal scholars.  You will contribute to research informed learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research, enterprise and scholarly activities, and income generation, contributing to the Faculty’s research profile.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to teach effectively on a range of programmes using a variety of approaches to student learning. You will have a PhD and a research record enabling you to make a significant contribution to the Law Schools research agenda. It is also essential that you have had success in applying for external research funding and have appropriate knowledge of future potential funding bodies aligned to your area(s) of research interest.

You will be expected to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate Police related modules and in particular to our rapidly increasing cohort of Police Apprentices.  Areas of particular interest are criminal law, criminal procedure, human rights and police powers.
