Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 517207), to commence on December 31, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a 12-month temporary basis. Senior researcher from overseas wishing to spend a sabbatical period in Hong Kong may be named as “Croucher Visiting Fellows” in this position.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry.  Good communication skills in English is essential.  The appointee is expected to offer high-quality undergraduate teaching in Physical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, and Advanced Chemistry research.  Teaching duties include the delivery of lectures and tutorials.  He/She will also work closely with Dr. Jinyao Tang who has research activities in Material Science and Energy, Physical Chemistry and Active Materials.  Enquiries about the post can be sent to the Head of the Department of Chemistry (e-mail: [email protected] ).
