Salary: £40927 to £50296 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham seeks applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Engineering with Biomechanics.  This role is offered as research & teaching where the person appointed would lead relevant research programs complementing and expanding existing capability.

Applications are welcome from individuals with teaching/research experience in any related areas of biomechanics, human performance, healthcare technologies and/or sports engineering. Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with academic research and teaching or industrial experience within the area of biomechanical assessment of human performance.

The role holder will take responsibility for delivering high quality teaching and will contribute to the planning, design, development and delivery of materials on our growing undergraduate taught programmes in the areas of bioengineering, biomechanics, sports science, human factors and healthcare.  The role will include the development of course curricula and teaching materials as required.

The post holder may also make a significant contribution to their academic unit via leadership and/or administrative management and/or co-ordination of specific initiatives.

This is a full time (36.25 hours), permanent post. Job share arrangements may be considered.
