The School of Computer Science at UNNC is part of the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham, UK, which is ranked among the top UK Computer Science departments (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/computerscience/ ). The School at UNNC offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate computer science programmes. Supported by major research grants, the School of Computer Science at UNNC is developing strong research in areas including Big Data and Visual Analytics, Computational Intelligence, Software Implementation and Testing, and Visual Information Processing.

Computer Science at UNNC is a designated strategic area for growth in the University’s Strategic Plan. We are now looking for world class research leaders to strengthen our team of international experts. Candidates must have a PhD in computer science or closely related disciplines, together with an international reputation in research and scholarship. Strong applications in all areas of computer science will be considered. An established track record in high quality research outputs and the ability to attract external research funding is a distinct advantage. Teaching and tutorial experience in computer science subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international English-speaking institution is also essential.

The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, participate in assessing and examining students, supervise PhD students, perform high quality research and obtain external research grants.

The person appointed to this role will be expected to commence employment in person at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in January 2022 or as soon as thereafter. The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China for a period of up to five years. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.

Salary will be within the range of RMB 411,197 to RMB 541,469 per annum, depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling support, first arrival & repatriation support, and international private insurance will be provided for international appointments.
