Assistant Manager (Grounds & Gardens)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Grounds and Gardens team. Reporting directly to the Campus Facilities Manager Grounds and Gardens Manager, the Assistant Manager will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our outdoor spaces, including gardens, landscapes, and grounds. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about horticulture and committed to creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor environments.
About you
You will have experience of leading and motivating a team to achieve a set of common goals and deliver a high standard of service. You will have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with students, staff of all levels and visitors. 
 
You will be highly organised and have previous experience of planning resources to meet competing demands. You will have a good working knowledge of IT equipment including smartphones and tablets. You will also have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office products and be able to use a search engine to seek information from the internet. 
 
You should have an understanding of Health and Safety issues, including COSHH and Risk Assessments.
