Based in our Coventry / Warwick Head Office or one of our UK Study Centres (Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester) with agile working options available.

The Opportunity: We are looking for someone to assist with the development and maintenance of the University Library collections and associated systems. You will also ensure Library collections are appropriate for the needs of Arden’s programmes and that they are appropriately procured and regularly updated. Some of the key aspects of the role will involve assisting with the maintenance of appropriate access routes to library resources and helping students to make the best possible use of the Library to support their studies.

About You: You will be experienced in working within a library team in either Higher Education or private practice. You will have demonstrable experience working with library management systems, discovery tools, or online library procurement tools. You will have knowledge of the range of information sources used in an academic environment, experience of working with bibliographic data, and of supporting library users. Your communication skills and understanding of student needs will be vital in this role, particularly your ability to articulate key information in easily accessible ways. You will have a degree, along with a postgraduate qualification in Librarianship or Information Science, or a proven track record of relevant work experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
