The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes. The School has forged a reputation for world-leading research and teaching in the areas of innovation management, the creation and growth of technology-intensive organisations, business analytics and entrepreneurship.

We are looking for an Assistant Learning Technologist to support the use of various educational technology systems in the School of Management, carrying out day to day support tasks and providing guidance on their use, for both teaching and administrative staff. You will directly undertake tasks that prepare and administer online teaching spaces across the annual course lifecycle and assist staff by providing guidance and support with those tasks.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive and diverse team of professional services colleagues based on the newly renovated 50th floor of One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, at the heart of Europe’s premier finance and business district (although remote working is currently in place in line with the Government guidance).

You will be interested in using technology to support learning and teaching and will be able to demonstrate experience of using virtual learning environment (VLE) and online collaboration platforms (e.g. Moodle, Microsoft Teams, Blackboard, Zoom, etc), related multimedia delivery systems (e.g. Echo360, Panopto, etc), assessment systems (e.g Turnitin, WiseFLOW, Moodle Assignment, Mentimeter, etc) and providing end-user support for these (or similar) technologies.

You will have experience of carrying out a range of specific, transactional tasks in these or similar systems and be able to help others in carrying out similar tasks. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, good customer service skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
