An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the CareersPlus team within Warwick Business School. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide specialist data insight expertise to support our strategic priority to become a data-driven service.. The role is varied and includes project managing a number of data management systems, ensuring the teams processes are GDPR compliant and developing robust management information reports to support key operational and strategic decisions. The successful candidate will lead key relationships with third party careers management system providers to ensure systems are being fully optimised and delivering a highly personalised, high quality and professional student and employer experience. The role also includes monitoring and evaluating graduate destination data to inform our Rankings and the School’s recruitment strategy.
We are looking for a talented individual with strong internal and external stakeholder management skills with an ability to communicate effectively across a diverse set of audiences. The successful candidate will be collaborative, flexible and target-driven and enjoy working in a fast-changing and highly competitive environment. They must demonstrate strong analytical skills and enjoy working with others to develop systems and processes that support the demanding priorities of the team.
Job Description
Job Purpose
To have oversight and responsibility for the identification, development and project management of effective Career Management systems to ensure the CareersPlus team can manage its careers provision and its extensive network of external recruiter partnerships to best effect. To build information and knowledge in careers management systems that enable strategic data driven decision-making on employer relations and student career paths. To build relationships across the school and wider institution to encourage collaborative approaches to data management. To support users in the effective use of existing systems and efficient implementation of new systems and processes to ensure colleagues can make best use of relationship data. To lead on process efficiency projects, competitor analysis and benchmarking and be responsible for managing the statistical reporting to track recruiter relationship life-cycle engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Careers Management system design, development and implementation
• Work with the Director to identify, design and develop innovative and user friendly IT systems that efficiently manage careers interventions as well as recruiter relationships, communication and engagement tracking, leading to timely and personalised responses and a positive impact on career metrics and student experience.
• Provide advocacy and technical support to ensure the entire team are optimising the full capabilities of the various systems used during the students’ career lifecycle.
• Work closely with WBS eSolutions and the School Data Architect in ensuring the team are supported with their technological needs and receive appropriate training in the use of existing internal systems and alerted to and trained in new ones.
•Project manage the specification, testing and implementation phases of IT developments which affect CareersPlus & Employer Relations systems
• Contribute to the on-going training to create and maintain a high level of understanding of existing and new IT systems used in CareersPlus & Employer Relations
•Represent CareersPlus & Employer Relations at meetings of the Technology Strategy Committee, the Data Management Forum, and other relevant bodies
•Negotiate contract renewals and system upgrades with third party service providers ensuring cost efficiencies wherever possible
• Manage day to day relationships with third party service providers ensuring the needs of the team are effectively communicated, change requests are completed and updates clearly communicated
•Work with the CareersPlus & Employer Relations Technology Integrator to develop appropriate careers metric tracking.
Process Improvement and Management Reporting
• Support the Director with reviewing and improving existing data collection processes and developing new managing reporting processes that support the growth of the team
• Use tools and strategies to monitor process efficiency and spot opportunities for improvement, in line with WBS and University strategy.
• Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking and be responsible for managing the statistical reporting to track recruiter cycles.
• Develop systems for optimising and tracking attendance and follow-up pre and post all CareersPlus & External relations events and activities.
• Collate, analyse and monitor event feedback and produce management information reports for use by the Alumni Working Group, Rankings Taskforce, and other relevant bodies
• Monitor IT systems related expenditure and payments, ensuring the accurate completion of purchase requisitions and timely processing of invoices
Become a GDPR champion acting as the main point of contact for data concerns and queries, working in collaboration with and escalating any data breaches to relevant departments.
Communication
• Build and manage effective filtering capacity within the Careers Management system to enable segmentation of recruiter data in order to deliver highly tailored, bespoke email communications that follow a coherent communications plan, designed to positively engage throughout any decision-making period and recruitment cycle. Use querying capability to provide management information and marketing intelligence
Provide data and analysis support our data strategy and report on our KPIs

An honours degree (preferably in a relevant computing/technical area) or equivalent work experience (a)
