University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit an Assistant/Associate Professor in Communication and Media in School of International Communications.

Your Responsibility

The post-holder will be expected to teach across the full range of our programmes, undertake supervision of BA and MA dissertation students and PGR students, and conduct research and external engagement in the school’s main research areas. About You

Candidates must have a PhD degree supported by extensive and high level research and teaching experience in communications studies that connects to the following areas:

  • Media technologies
  • Filmmaking
  • Digital heritage
  • Digital Humanities
  • Media convergence
  • Cultural studies
  • Games studies
  • Celebrity Studies

Candidates will need to have in depth knowledge of their area of research to enable the development of new knowledge, innovation and understanding in the relevant field. In addition, candidates will be required to have capability to act as a role model in the areas of research and teaching.

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years starting February 2024 or as soon as thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
