Assistant / Associate Professor

Applications are invited for the post of Assistant or Associate Professor of Cyber Physical Systems in the Centre for Computational Science and Mathematical Modelling https://www.coventry.ac.uk/research/areas-of-research/computational-science-mathematical-modelling/ at Coventry University, to start as soon as possible.

You will be a member of the AI for Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) team https://www.coventry.ac.uk/research/areas-of-research/computational-science-mathematical-modelling/ai-cyberphysical-systems/ , and part of a dynamic and stimulating research community based at the excellent research facilities that Coventry University offers for this area of research, including a newly refurbished home for the centre and a state of the art IoT lab. You will have a role to play in the development of the CPS research area, working alongside Profs. Brusey (https://pureportal.coventry.ac.uk/en/persons/james-brusey ) and Gaura (https://pureportal.coventry.ac.uk/en/persons/elena-gaura ), as well as a number of PhD candidates and post doctoral researchers.

The Centre for Computational Science and Mathematical Modelling is growing and developing a research profile across several areas of contemporary computer science, including Machine Learning for Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, Fundamental Algorithms for AI, and Statistical and Computational Modelling.  You will be expected to engage in independent and original research within the area of CPS with particular application to the field of energy.

You will be expected to secure funding, to engage in the management of research projects, and to disseminate your research through publication in high-quality scholarly journals and conferences. You are also expected to engage with PhD student supervision.

You will hold a doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related engineering or mathematical discipline and will also have a proven research track record of internationally high quality research in the area of AI, Sensor Networks, IoT or other aspects of CPS.
