UCL Careers provides careers education to current students, graduates and staff of UCL, as well as recruitment solutions for employers. UCL Careers provides a ‘core’ service for students as well as bespoke support within some academic areas, including UCL’s School of Management.

The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes, and has a reputation for world-leading research and teaching. The School is also a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools. Further information about the School can be found here: www.mgmt.ucl.ac.uk/

UCL School of Management’s students are a highly international and diverse student body, with many students seeking roles in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region after they graduate. In this role, the post holder will design and deliver bespoke provision focused on enhancing these students’ employment prospects as part of a wider programme of Careers activity. Activities may include (but not be limited to) 1:1 and small group coaching, workshops, presentations, and facilitating employer/alumni panel or networking events.

They will also lead, manage and develop relationships with employers that our students aspire to work for in the Asia-Pacific region, in order to gather labour market intelligence, source job opportunities and collate recruitment insights. They will work directly with these employers to devise and facilitate activities that will support our students to understand the opportunities available to them, and to excel in the recruitment process.

We’re looking for someone who is fluent in English and Mandarin, with knowledge of the Asia-Pacific graduate labour market ideally gained through previous work experience. The role holder should enjoy and have experience of working with a range of stakeholders, so that they are well equipped to work closely with both employers and students. They should be a confident presenter and facilitator and enjoy running group sessions as well as working with students 1:1.

They should also have knowledge of one or more of the top sectors our students aspire to work in (Management Consulting, Finance or Technology), either because they have worked in them previously or because they have experience of supporting the career development of business/finance/management students.

As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:

  • 41 Days holiday (27 days annual leave 8 bank holiday and 6 closure days)
  • Additional 5 days’ annual leave purchase scheme
  • Defined benefit career average revalued earnings pension scheme (CARE)
  • Cycle to work scheme and season ticket loan
  • Immigration loan
  • Relocation scheme for certain posts
  • On-Site nursery
  • On-site gym
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
  • Employee assistance programme: Staff Support Service
  • Discounted medical insurance
